Please note that if you want to register your child for travel, and your child is older than 12, you need to register under "U15 Coed". We will sort the players into the correct age group manually.
Thanks.

I know we are in the middle of lacrosse softball, and baseball seasons, but it is time to start preparing for the fall Travel soccer season. Those new to travel soccer, it is a chance for your child to improve their skill and challenge their level of play while still having fun.
August 1 is the cut off for determining what age your child should play (Ex – your child is 10 and will not turn 11 until AFTER Aug 1 – they would play U11. If the birthday is July 31 or before, your child will need to play U12). Each team runs their own budget (determined by what leagues and tournaments they play in) and the additional cost typically is $150-300 per player. This year tryouts will be held on Friday May 11, Saturday May 19, and Sunday May 20th - ALL AT SWEET AIR PARK. Please have your son or daughter attend AT LEAST two of the tryouts so that the coaches have as much time to evaluate their skill level as possible. We will be fielding teams from U9 to U14 for girls and U9 to U12 for boys. We are trying to avoid conflicts with baseball, softball, and lacrosse games, tournaments and practices – this is the reason for our tryouts being held earlier and in the evenings on the weekend.
On May 20, we have hired a third party to help evaluate the players, so PLEASE MAKE THE EFFORT TO ATTEND THIS PARTICULAR TRYOUT.
We have had very compe****ive teams over the last few years and our program, though small, has competed and won several leagues and tournaments so please consider having your son or daughter come try out!
Finally – please see below for your specific try out times. You MUST register before the May 11 tryout – no exceptions. This is CMRC policy, and has to do with insurance. The coaches will have rosters of registered players.
Please contact me with any questions.
Thank you!
Chuck Sabia

We are once again very excited about offering your son and daughter the opportunity to play soccer at CMRC. For many years, we have been offering a quality program to the community and we look forward to working with the kids again in 2012.
CMRC Soccer is managed by the Soccer Committee, which coordinates the different activities during the summer and fall.
Our program focuses on soccer skill development at all levels. The first area we will address is our entry-level program. This program, called Hot Shots, will offer basic soccer skill training for players that are 5 years or younger. The Hot Shots program has dedicated playing fields for the age group with real soccer goals. The main objective is to develop the love for the game and learn soccer skills while having fun! Jerry Tana will continue as chief responsible for this very important part of our program, and Jerry will head up our summer camps as well.
The next level of play CMRC will offer is our Challenge program. This program is offered to all players that are 7 to 17 years old that want to play and learn soccer. The program will have a developmental focus providing a safe, educational, and enjoyable soccer experience. The CMRC Coaching Team will offer weekly training and matches that all of the players will benefit from. Furthermore, we intend to have a couple of camps over the summer – more about this shortly. Thomas Beckwith heads up the Challenge program in cooperation with the Age Group Commissioners.
We continue to have a Travel Program, which is called Express. This program is offered to any player that would desire to play at a higher level and play more. The selection process is done through team tryouts between mid May and early June. We intend to have at least one travel team in each age group from U-8 to U-14 for both boys and girls. Chuck Sabia heads up the Express program.
We are very pleased to offer a Premier program for CMRC Soccer. This level of play will provide advanced players development in the most compe****ive environment, with high level coaching. The goal of this program is to prepare players for play beyond youth soccer. Jerry Tana heads up this program as well.
Registration will commence on April 2, 2012 and end on July 31, 2012. Registrations received after this date will be placed on a waiting list.
Registrations entered after September 1, 2012 are not likely to be accepted.
Travel players must be registered prior to May 10, 2012, in order to be assessed in the tryouts. Players who are not registered prior to this date will not be allowed to participate in the tryouts.
The fees for the 2012 season will be $65 for Hotshots, and $75 for all other age groups, with a family maximum of $175 ($185 if registered after July 31). Travel players should anticipate some extra fees as determined by the Express program.
Finally, as with all recreation programs, we need volunteers! There are a number of important areas we need to cover. We need age-group commissioners for the Challenge program to coordinate the work with kids and coaches within each individual age group. We need coaches in all the individual age groups, and we need referees to lead the games throughout the season. We are working on establishing training for coaches in cooperation with a professional party, in order to provide our coaches with a toolbox for their work with the kids.
If you are interested in becoming a commissioner or a coach, please contact Thomas Beckwith for further information, and if you want to function as a referee, please contact Stephanie Vail.
Please spend a minute on acquainting yourself with the CMRC Policies as well.
We look forward to offering your children a great soccer experience with CMRC.
